Giant LED screens, essential in the fan zones of sporting events
Not everybody has the chance to attend top class sporting event. Whether it is the FIFA World Cup, a final of the Champions League or the Basketball World Cup, only a few fortunate people get to attend them live. Organisations of sporting events, their sponsors and institutions are aware of this, and for some years now, they have decided to take the show to the centres of large cities, creating what are known as fan zones.
Giant LED screens, the axis of fan zones
The objective of these spaces is simple, to group together and control a crowd in a large open space for them to cheer on their teams from a distance or from the outside of the stadium and support the sponsors’ advertising actions. The main element of these fan zones are the giant LED screens. All the activity generated by this area, prepared for the more fanatic followers, evolves around them. Thanks to the image quality and versatility when configuring the size of the giant LED screens, watching a football match in one of these fan zones is the closest thing to being in the actual stadium.
Giant LED screen formats can exceed 100 m² and as a result, the extension of the fan zone does not matter. In large open spaces, such as squares or parks, the area is no obstacle for installing a screen on which the match can be seen with good quality. Furthermore, these screens are the ideal support to insert advertising during the run up to the match or during half-time, and to give useful information to the thousands of people crowded around the screens.
Giant LED screens have become an essential element for this type of event and organising a sporting event without the presence of fan zones and giant screens is now unthinkable. In fact, more spectators have congregated in many fan zones than in any large stadium.
A unique way of bringing the emotion and passion of an elite sporting event outside the stadiums.
