A professional football goal measures 7.32 m wide by 2.44 m high. Julio Cesar, the goalkeeper of the Brazil team in the 2014 World Cup would have undoubtedly preferred to have to defend a goal with the dimensions of the LED screen that Mondo has installed in the new premium shop of Soloporteros in Bilbao. Located in the establishment’s Adidas space, the LED screen measures 3.46 m wide by 1.92 m high; smaller than a goal, yes, but no less impressive.
With a total graphics surface area of 6.64 m², the Mondo LED screen acquired by Adidas for the space in the new Soloporteros shop is equipped with high-brightness SMD technology. It also uses encapsulated LEDs with ‘black face’, which improve the contrast. The people from Bilbao have been enjoying this Mondo screen since 19 July, the day when the shop was opened, a shop with more than 500 m² in the centre of Bilbao, in Alameda del Doctor Areilza. Two mythical former players of the Athletic Club, Jon Perez ‘Bolo’ and Edu Alonso, manage the shop.
This type of screen enables shops to communicate in a faster, more dynamic and attractive manner than with traditional supports such as billboards. The activity does not matter: Such different types of establishments as furniture shops, boutiques, cosmetics or car dealers have also started to use LED screens as a communication channel to appeal more to their clients. Inside the actual shop, in shop windows, on outer facades or monopole formats, LED screens are already essential elements in the marketing strategies of many brands.
